Our Farm

My parents started the farm in 2009 when we were given our first goat to bottle feed. We also began keeping bees that year as well. Almost all the neighbors around us were older and didn't have the time to give towards bottle feeding or giving extra care so they would call us with orphans. As the years went on our farm grew in many different areas. My mom was very creative and always eager to learn new things. In 2012 we started participating in our first farmers market selling different products we made using local produce. We took a class on how to make homemade skin care items and that excited me. My mom and I then started making different body products using the goats milk or beeswax off of our farm. In 2013 I started raising Nigerian Dwarf goats. In 2016 I graduated from high school and knew this is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. We continued doing farmers markets and I started venturing out making different varieties of soaps. That same year I met my future husband. The Lord was so gracious to send so many inspiring people my way to help cultivate and develop my passion.

In 2021 my parents retired. In July of that same year, Angus and I got married and I continued the farm and each year since it has grown and so has our family. We have three boys!

I am Mia Scott...also known by many as "the goat girl" and "soap lady"...

  •  Mommy to the best little boys ever

  •  Wife to a sergeant in the Fire Department

  •  Adopted twice... First by my amazing parents, Rick & Teresa Foster...Second by my heavenly Father

  •  Second Born in a family of seven kiddos

  •  Goat Lover

  •  Natural Enthusiast

  •  Clean Freak (very trying on a farm)

I fell in love with the farm life at a early age. I had always loved animals (my grandma was quite the rescue volunteer so I get it naturally) but when Dad & Mom started the farm, I found my passion... Livestock, especially goats. Christmas of 2012 I was given my pick of a Nigerian Dwarf doeling. January of 2013 she was born and we went down to pick her up. Many folks know her.. Topaz. We became best of buds and are still very close today! She is getting up in age and I'm very blessed to have one doe and two doelings off of her still on the farm! As I started growing my herd, I was highly interested in making soap with the milk. Mom and I made our first batch in 2015 and I haven't stopped since. Graduation from high school was in 2016 and I took a class to become a certified dairy goat technician the following year. I really wanted to become a veterinarian but God had other plans for me. That was one of the hardest things to give up. In 2021, my parents retired from farming. I got married and took over the farm. It has grown over the last couple of years and we have many dreams for what to continue building it to be.

Angus Scott

Farmer + Fire Fighter

My name is Angus and I am husband to the Beautiful Mia Rene'e Scott and the father to soon to be 3 wonderful boys. I have been in the fire service for 10 years now, I'm currently serving at the rank of Sergeant, of which I've served for 3 out of my 10 years.  I'm a simple man,   just an old wretched Sinner saved by God's wonderful grace.

Being a firefighter has its challenges but it has more Rewards than people know about. One of those rewards is being able to handle things that life throws at us, for example, a firefighter is trained to adapt and overcome any situation that falls at our feet. I said all that to say this; having a farm can be rough at times, and sometimes the lessons I've learned the hard way and skills I have from being in the fire service,  Help things run much smoother at the farm.

Helping my wife run our farm can be hard at times however it is a very rewarding thing,  I see the joy she gets by being around and the love she has for all the animals. We enjoy working together and getting all those "extra" chores done.  Mia does 90% of everything day in and day out,  she chooses to be the main gear and I jump in and help whenever I'm needed.  We have a system of how we do things and we often talk about our future plans and how to help the farm grow. Though Mia does most of the chores, I do all of the repairs and heavy lifting.

We both do a lot for the farm because we share a huge love for God's creation and we both believe that there's a great eternal reward for raising a Godly family and we know that God created this land and the animals to sustain life!
